Deep Throat Named

Well... he wasn't exactly named by anyone, but 91-year old Mark Felt admitted that he was "Deep Throat" from the Watergate period. Mark Felt was the second-in-command at the FBI during the time of Watergate.

I had just re-rented the movie "All The President's Men" about 2 months ago and just really loved seeing it again. As an adult (I had seen this movie when I was much younger) everything from the complex material itself to the newspaper office politics was much more poignant for me.

Woodward and Bernstein both had quotes today that they have "no comment" on the Vanity Fair article where this was revealed saying that they had pledged to reveal the identity and the circumstances only upon Deep Throat's death.

I love this. One of the great political mysteries of our time. Makes you wonder when all is said and done - how will history judge Deep Throat?

Redford and Hoffman had no comment.
